Goober Dog Collars are hand crafted in East Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia… one of the best cold water surfing spots in the world! Our dogs basically live at the beach, and thats where we got the inspiration to offer awesome outdoor/ beach/ chillwear that is HAND MADE & MARINE GRADE!
Our material is custom printed just for us right here in Canada. Our patterns are sublimated on 100% Polyester Taslan. This colourfast printing method produces vibrant colours that wont bleed or run even when wet and are resistant to fading. When dry, water beads up and rolls right off of the surface and when submerged in water, our collars are very fast drying. Widely used in the sporting, outdoor and swimwear industry, our performance polyester is water resistant, fast drying and breathable. Awesome!
Our heavy duty buckles and tri-glides are molded from Delrin ® by Du Pont™. Unlike nylon buckles, Delrin ® is virtually unaffected by relative humidity… this means your dogs collar will perform equally as well at the beach as it does in drier, less demanding environments. When compared to most other polyacetal resins, Delrin ® is not only the stiffest and strongest on the market, but offers a 30% higher breaking point, and 40% higher impact resistance… particularly in cold weather (We’re talking to you Canada!).
